Robin Marissink

Registered Acupuncturist; R. Ac

“I feel fortunate to be able to practice acupuncture and to be able to offer relief, solutions, and compassion to people who often feel unseen or unheard.”

Robin completed two years of the kinesiology program at the University of Waterloo, before studying meridian massage, myofascial release, and mental health and human resources courses. Robin graduated from the three-year acupuncture program with honours, Magna Cum Laude. Since graduating Robin has been enthusiastic about continuing education in Japanese acupuncture with Master Kiiko Matsumoto, which uses abdominal palpation to confirm diagnoses and treatment efficacy. She also has been studying Obstetric acupuncture with Debra Betts and Sabine Wilms, and she enjoys treating women after giving birth to nurture and support them during this beautiful, sometimes challenging transformation.

Traditional Chinese Medicine associates different emotions with each organ and incorporates emotional imbalances into the diagnoses and treatment. The mind, body, and spirit are interconnected and Robin always wants to make sure her patients are heard, and that all parts of them are seen. Each person has their own unique story and each treatment plan is individually crafted for the person.

“My goal is to find whatever is blocking the person from their healing, to gently move, guide, or create space for the natural flow of things to return. For them to reconnect to themselves, and to everything around them”
